Description

I'm originally Taiwanese, but have lived abroad most of my life, primarily in Belgium and Chile. I traveled extensively as a child and was schooled in a creative, multi-cultural environment so at heart, I feel international and like a citizen of the earth. Exposure to different languages, cultures and social classes has had a seminal impact on who I am as a person. I believe in living a life of compassion, empathy and being insatiably curious! I am committed to a healthy, conscious and sustainable lifestyle. I have an artistic background, and love to bringing my creativity to any project.

I came to Portugal to embark on a new journey, one focused on learning about sustainable/regenerative agriculture and community living. I've volunteered on various farms as well as a retreat center. I learnt how to prune fig, orange and olive trees, harvested fruits, as well as general garden skills like seed sowing, propagation, transplanting, mulching, weeding and irrigation. I have also applied basic carpentry skills, helped in various renovation jobs, including the reparation of a natural clay house, as well as learning natural construction techniques using cob. Other jobs have included caring for animals and cooking for the volunteering community.

As a result of these volunteering experiences, I was also offered employment by my hosts. This has given me varied work experience in hospitality, restaurant kitchens, and as a general caretaker at a retreat center. These experiences have taught me so much and expanded my skill set.

By nature I strive to be empathic and caring. As a volunteer/worker, you can expect a kind, responsible, tidy and dedicated person, eager to share, connect and learn from my hosts.
