Description
We are a couple from Australia on a Working Holiday Visa, eager to explore and experience different regions of Italy. Kiara, with a degree in Italian Studies, is excited to immerse herself in the language and culture, and sees Workaway as the perfect opportunity to do so. Darcy is along for the adventure, equally thrilled to explore Italy over the next 12 months.

Kiara is fluent in both English and Indonesian, having grown up in Indonesia with her Indonesian mother. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Italian Studies and has experience tutoring beginners in both Italian and Indonesian. Darcy has been learning Italian for over a year and has a solid grasp of the basics. Through Workaway, we’re both eager to improve our Italian fluency and would love to exchange language skills by teaching English.

Myself and my partner have lots of experience housesitting back in Australia. We have experience in long term housesitting and pet care, often including multiple pets in the one home. We also both have experience working with children. My partner has a passion for gardening and nature, and understands how to care for plants. I love to clean, and ensure the home I am in is always clean and welcoming.

Kiara is an avid reader who loves immersing herself in books, meanwhile Darcy loves gardening and spending time outdoors in a garden. We both enjoy spending time outdoors—whether it's hiking, swimming, or surfing in the ocean. In the evenings, we often play music and cook dinner together, making the most of our time and enjoying each other’s company. We truly value doing everything together and are excited to share these passions while working with you.
