Hi! I’m Kyle. I'm an ocean engineering researcher and mechanical engineering student in California. I'm passionate about nature and adventure. I’ve worked on everything from autonomous ocean drones to clean hydrogen reactors, and I’m always seeking new environments to learn, contribute, and grow in.
Outside the lab, I love hiking, writing poetry, practicing Spanish, and making new friends. I’ve lived in Barcelona, backpacked across Mexico, and I’m eager to explore the world — not just as a tourist, but as someone who contributes to the places I visit.
I’m reliable, hardworking, and genuinely excited to contribute my skills (and learn a few new ones!) in exchange for meaningful experiences. Whether it’s in the garden, the kitchen, or helping with techy stuff, I’m ready to dive in.
Looking forward to meeting you!Interests

More details about your skills
I'd love to work with new types of art, practice woodworking or construction, or pick up new skills in other areas. I’m always eager to help out and get better with tools.
In the past, I’ve worked as an engineering technician where I built experiments and and control systems from scratch using hand tools and machinery — but some of my favorite projects have been outside of school and work. While staying with a friend in Canada, I spent a few days building a bench out of scrap wood for their property. And while backpacking through Mexico last summer, I found myself painting a mural at a hostel — every night after everyone went to sleep, I’d grab a Red Bull from the corner store and stay up until sunrise adding details.
Whether it’s building, painting, or just helping out, I bring energy to the work I do. I’m here to learn, contribute, and connect.
