Hey! I'm Laia, a veterinary medicine student from the countryside of Catalonia, Spain. I've had the chance to live in different countries, discovering my passion for solo travel, exploring new places, and connecting with interesting people along the way. I'm passionate about animals and nature, and I especially enjoy hiking and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Through Workaway, I'm excited to extend my journey, meet new people, and immerse myself in unique cultures, all while contributing in meaningful ways. I’m always eager to exchange knowledge and learn new skills, especially if they bring me closer to understanding different lifestyles or enhance my work with animals.

Language-wise, I'm fluent in Catalan, Spanish, and English. I have basic French and Swedish skills and I've just started learning German—any help with that is warmly welcomed!

I have experience with companion and farm animals, including dogs, rabbits, pigs, cows, sheep, goats, horses, and chickens. I absolutely love working with animals. While I may not have much experience in gardening and horticulture, I am eager to learn more about it. Overall, I can handle tasks that require physical effort.

I stayed on Ola and Lone’s farm for seven weeks in autumn, and it was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget. The work was diverse, from feeding and moving the sheep to building fences, painting, clearing up the forest, and even repairing tools.
