My next destination:
Norway - from May 2025 until Jul 2025 View allDescription
At first I'm very much the introverted software engineer, but once I feel comfortable with other people I'm very open about myself. I believe the only work worth doing is the work done right and love an challenge.
Even though I have completed a 3-year apprenticeship and studied software engineering I prefer not to have anything to do with computers in my free time. If I don't have the motivation to read a book, I listen to audiobooks. Anything is better than social media.
When I'm not working on a project I like to go climbing, go hiking, spend a few nights in a tent, go running, do embroidery and play board/card games.
Aside from that I have a little experience tutoring and teaching. I would love to combine that with climbing to give introductory courses or take people on excursions. Teaching math and computer science or even English or German is also something I would welcome with open arms.Interests

I am currently learning Italian, partly for an upcoming trip to Italy, but also because I love the melodic sound of the language. My French is sadly not good enough that I could teach it, but I'm very comfortable with English and German. Teaching either of those, be it in a theoretical or practical way, would be a pleasure.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

More details about your skills
Since writing good prose is not one of my skills, allow me to list my skills in decreasing levels of proficiency:
- Professional software engineer
- Amateur route setter
- Good at finding creative solutions to problems
- Regularly dabble in design (made my own deck of cards and have designed a few tattoos)
- Decent cook
- Passable taylor for torn cloting
- Some tutoring and teaching experience
Additionally I would consider myself a very fast learner. During my time dealing with computer code I've learned to internalise new concepts and theory rather quickly.Age

The work was diverse and we were always able to choose something that we enjoyed doing. I also really appreciated the trust both of them put in our ability to do good work without micro-managing They were also very fair with the… read more
