Hello future host :)
My name is Laurent, and I am an architecture student from Canada currently in exchange in Germany. I am extroverted, friendly, curious to just about anything and always interested about sharing meaningful talks or experiences !
I am espacially interested in arts like litterature, photography, drawing and into almost every outdoors sports, but some more consistently like rock climbing, mountaineering and trail running. I also like to read quite a lot and I always like to share about current readings or related topics.
I mainly wish to do this workaway experience from a will to put in practice my architecture skills through some DIY and carpentry projects and contribute in the same time to a purposeful project about conservation of environment, agriculture/permaculture or even some renovation of heritage buildings ! As a true nature lover, anything I could help with that takes place outdoors would bring a smile on my face:) . I am still very open about any other related work, such as helping with your digital content or graphic communication. I think travelling is a great teacher that opens beautiful perspectives and a renewed comprehension of self. It is my first time using this platform and I am looking forward to some new long-lasting friendships and making lifelong memories.

I am the most at ease into outdoors environnements: I worked as a snowboard first responder, a trail builder in a canadian national park and in a mountain biking resort. My family also owns a small fishing camp where I help with maintenance tasks on or around the camp. Additionally, I travelled a whole summer in a small minivan, on which I built the integrated furniture and bed myself.
Regarding my training, I studied litterature and art history in my pre-university studies, and followed a cursus in architecture. I did patrimonial research with my university and also worked in an architecture firm. In consequence, I know how to do graphic communication and design, photography, bring innovative ideas to a construction or a crafting project and I know a thing or two about art, which I would definetly love to share with any of your creative projects !
