  • Description

    Laura:
What makes me happy is meeting new people and having the chance to connect with them, whether it’s a quick chat or a deeper conversation. Animals always bring me a sense of calm and joy, and I’m lucky to have a solid group of family and friends who keep me grounded. I love getting out in nature and being active—it helps me clear my head and feel more alive. Traveling to new places and experiencing different cultures also brings me a lot of excitement and new perspectives. As for what motivates me, my mum has always inspired me to be better and to push myself in ways I didn’t think possible. I’m also driven by personal challenges, especially physical ones—whether it’s fitness goals or testing my limits, I get a real sense of accomplishment from them. I do care about animals and the planet, and that sense of responsibility motivates me to make small changes where I can.

    Euan:
I enjoy physical challenges, when I was younger it was mainly rugby performance however in recent years this has become training goals or climbing and hiking outside of the gym. I like having a goal to aim for.

I am a personal trainer so staying fit and healthy is a huge priority, but so is keeping a solid social circle around me—it keeps me grounded and balanced. My family, friends, and close role models are a big source of inspiration; they drive me to keep going. It’s no secret that I am really passionate about my work and I’m excited to keep improving my skills and I feel spending time overseas will help. Since travelling have enjoyed broadening my knowledge of longevity and being away has allowed me to opportunity to cherry pick lifestyle habits from different cultures to include into my everyday life-
It’s made me rethink how I approach health and well-being.

When I’m not at work I like to unwind by going surfing or tending to my small houseplant collection. A nice evening includes eating good food, usually R&R from the days training session followed by some plant care listening to a good podcast before sticking on a classic movie or new series with my partner.

  • More details about your skills

    Laura:
I completed my level 2 carpentry NVQ which has given me a solid skill set that applies to many areas of my life. I’ve found it’s made me much more adaptable to fresh challenges, more efficient as a worker and generally more confident. And not to mention, I’ve enjoyed the benefits of having woodworking skills that I can use in my every day life. I find great enjoyment in working hands-on.

I also have over 5 years of hospitality experience that has honed my ability to manage tasks efficiently, communicate clearly and provide excellent professional service, all while staying approachable. I consider myself to be a hardworking person and someone who is reliable and dependable. What I love about hospitality is interacting with new people and being sociable.

When I am not at work, I can usually be found doing something active; whether at the gym or outside in nature. The idea of a weekend well spent is one walking the dog with my partner, family and friends of an afternoon.

    Euan:
I have a diverse set of skills and experiences that have shaped who I am today. As a fitness coach and former youth athlete sports coach, I’ve developed a deep understanding of health and how to achieve fitness and sports goals, whether in team sports or solo pursuits. My abilities extend beyond fitness—I’m also experienced with odd jobs, caring for plants and pets, and enjoy cooking healthy meals. My journey has taken me around the world, from previously playing rugby in the UK, Hong Kong, and Australia, to more recently living on a tight budget while traveling through Nepal and India, and trekking to Everest Base Camp. I’ve also spent years climbing and hiking across the UK, with Dartmoor being my home I love getting out in the elements. All while managing my own business and gaining valuable leadership experience.

  • What else ...

When we have free time we enjoy hiking. Recently, we had the opportunity to trek to the basecamp of Everest which was a once in a lifetime experience for me and my partner. We have plenty more treks and climbs on our bucket list.

    Laura:
I also love spending time with my close group of friends - who after a long day of work never fail to put me in a great mood.

Myself and my partner both enjoy surfing on the weekends not too far from home. Although, to tell the truth we aren’t very good. But it is a lot of fun.

    Euan:
I enjoy going out to watch the rugby. Mostly grassroots level at the local rugby club.

I also enjoy learning a little bit about the history of the place that we are travelling to.

We’d like to think we are just a regular couple in our mid 20s enjoying the adventure of starting out our lives.
