Hi! My name is Lide and I'm from the Basque Country (Spain). I think I am cheerful and always happy to help others in any way I can. I'm passionate about traveling and discovering new cultures, and I love the joy of connecting with others and sharing experiences.
This is my first time participating in Workaway and I'm really looking forward to it. I've been wanting to get out of my bubble and get to know Latin America for a while now, since I have never been there and a lot of people have said amazing things about it! I was kind of scared to do it alone so I think Workaway is a great option to meet new people while traveling.

I love learning new languages and I think completely immersing yourself in a linguistic environment is the best way to learn. In the past I have lived in English-speaking, Italian-speaking, French-speaking and Catalan-speakin environments and I have improved my linguistic skills drastically.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a master’s degree in Gender and Communication. I have nearly three years of experience in the communication field, where I developed skills in managing social media and interacting with customers.

I also have experience in public-facing roles. In the past, I’ve worked as a waitress, a museum tour guide, and a salesperson in a shoe store. I truly enjoyed these jobs, as I’m a sociable person who loves engaging with people and providing excellent customer service.

I’m always eager to learn new skills and adapt to different work environments.

Being bilingual from birth, I speak both Basque and Spanish fluently. I’m also fluent in English, conversational in Catalan (thanks to living in Barcelona for three years), and have some knowledge of French and Italian.

I enjoy swimming in the sea, exploring neighborhoods and playing volleyball. I consider myself quite open-minded and a chill person, and even though I don't drink alcohol, i also enjoy going out to the bars or to dance!
