My next destination:
Tanzania - from Mar 2025 until Aug 2025 View allDescription
Hello! Im Lou, an avid traveller and cultural immerser. Despite having never stepped foot in Tanzania before, I have heard whispers of its vibrant people and magical landscapes… so am coming to live, give, learn, play, share, and explore curiously from March 2025 onwards.
Albany, a small town on the south coast of Western Australia, is where I call home. I love being part of the community here, taking care of each other individually, and as a whole, feels very central to life.
The community-oriented life in Albany is what sparked my desire to come and observe, engage with, and work within a community in Kenya.
I’ve worked in health for most of my life, mostly as a registered nurse, and more recently am working as a midwife. Women’s health, across its entire spectrum, is where my deepest passion lies, and I have such a curiosity to learn about the health, challenges, resilience and strength Tanzanian girls and women have and face.Languages
