Description
Hello we are Martha and Mikey!
We are students living in Sheffield, England. We are into art, music, reading, cycling, cooking and wildlife. Our favourite thing to do together is spend time in nature, go on walks and explore the natural spaces near where we live and we want to do workaway to explore more of the natural world.
I (Martha) am an artist who creates mixed media work, I love drawing, printmaking, collage and illustration. A lot of my work is inspired by my love for cycling, trains, sustainable transport and the environment. I love meeting new people and I am very keen on travelling around Europe to learn about different countries, cultures and languages.
I (Mikey) is a filmmaker who works on local short film productions. I enjoy working alongside talented and inspirational creatives for my work. In my spare time I play the bass and guitar with my friends and sometimes perform live. Through workaway I would like to be able to learn new languages and take inspiration from different ways of life.

I am good at sewing, knitting & crochet, drawing and gardening. I have worked as a waitress, a server on a market stall, a babysitter and a freelance artist. At school, I studied French and Spanish to a good level and I am fluent in Italian (my dad is from Naples). I am currently studying illustration at university, I am hardworking and willing to learn new skills.
