Description
My name is Mia and I am 23 years old and from Denmark. I've previously stayed two places via Workaway and found both experiences really rewarding. I find workaway to be a more authentic way of travelling and would thus like to repeat the succes and meet new people from all around the world! I will be starting university in September and am looking for somewhere calm, but interesting to work. I like working with animals, children and gardening, as well as cooking food. The most important thing for me isn’t the specific work duties, but to have a nice and warm-hearted host who can introduce me to his/her country. In my free time I sing in a choir and experiment with writing, poems mainly. Literature and writing is my big passion, and thus traveling is an amazing way for me to widen my horizon and get new inspiration for my creative work. I am an open-minded and positive person who would like to do the most chores and would love to get to know your country!

I’ve grown up in a home with three languages (Danish, Swedish and English), so I am able to teach those languages in return for maybe getting to know German and Spanish, which I have studied sporadically over the last ten years.

I am used to helping out at home and taking responsibility for myself. I am good at cooking and used to cleaning a house as well. I had a summer job as a cleaning assistant in a nursing home in the summer of 2020, so I am used to doing that. More generally, I am the big sister in my family (I have two younger siblings, a sister and a brother), so I am used to caring for children and babysitting - and I have a big heart for children! I also like animals (I have two cats), and have also had a job where I walked my neighbors dog. Gardening is a big interest of mine and something I have some experience from from my own garden. I am a fast-learning person and good at adapting quickly to new tasks - so almost anything to do with children/animals/cooking/gardening-practical work would be nice for me.
