Description
We are Robby (29) and Nickolas (31) a friendship formed at a hostel (Bunk + Brew in Oregon) four years ago. We are now best friends who formed a band (@robotmushroomband) and we are looking to travel this upcoming year starting towards the end of January. We both have extensive experience working and living at hostels and look forward to connecting with people from around the world. This is an exciting time in our lives, traveling with your best friend. We love the idea of experiencing new places with intention and community.
Hi I’m Robby, I am a 27 year old dual-citizen of the US and the UK. I have been out of University for a few years and am traveling in hopes of stumbling upon new interests and passions. I have a lot of experience working in hostels, I have done so in America, Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand. I have also worked with a few different families through Workaway and enjoyed every one of those experiences. I am a person that loves seeing a job through to completion. Workaway is appealing to me because having a goal and purpose makes socializing and in-turn traveling so much more rewarding. I also believe platforms like Workaway, that allow people to volunteer their time and expertise, is a radical and potentially revolutionary way to live life and be the change in the system we all live in.
Hello I am Nick, a 31 year old US citizen. I too have a lot of experience working and living in hostels as well as working with children and young adults at camps and other organizations. The reason I love volunteering while travelling is that it allows a slower and more immersive speed to experience these new and exciting places you've never been to. It also provides deeper and more meaningful relationships with locals and other travelers alike. It is my hope to perform and write more music during my travels as I find my creativity runs high when life is kept new and exciting through travel.
