Description
My name is Daniel and I am from Colorado. I’m married to the world’s most amazing woman and together we have two boys, ages 24 & 19.

I was a school teacher for 15 years before moving into IT. Since then I’ve been an IT manager, systems administrator and integration engineer.

Besides computers, I love the construction trades. My wife and I built our last home ourselves, doing almost all of the work ourselves. I’m proficient in framing, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Just last month I rebuilt a shed for my new workshop.

Several years ago, my son and I traveled extensively in Switzerland, France and the UK doing Workaways. It was an amazing experience, one that we still talk about today.

I love animals and am especially good with dogs. We have a Golden Retriever and a Border Collie. We also fostered a little mutt named Kimber who decided we were acceptable humans.

I’m interested in any number of work situations, am always willing to get my hands dirty. I enjoy construction projects, animal care, farm chores, etc.

We are a father and son looking to spend some time traveling this fall. We're looking to experience more than just "tourist stuff" and are eager to help out with whatever you need. Garrett is 15, an Eagle Scout, musician, artist, amazing writer and student and all around fantastic kid. Daniel is 45 and an ex school teacher turned IT professional. We're not afraid to get our hands dirty, having done multiple construction projects as a family. Dan is an experienced IT professional and can assist with anything web (html,css) SharePoint, Windows/Mac OS, etc. We are easy going, clean, quiet and would be completely respectful of your property, your family and your wishes!

We had Daniel as our guest. We did several kinds of maintaince and construction work. Daniel is a great person to have as a guest and a hard worker. I had a wonderful time with Andre, Tanja and Uzo the dog! I stayed with them on Terschelling for two full weeks.
