  • Description

The greatest joys often come after a storm. Many of my travels have been in places where there's been a natural disaster. The psychology of what occurs within a community is nothing short of magic. I have been finding the hardships and giving where I can, while also filling up on silver lines that come from the pain. This is how I see permaculture work. For so long the way of growing food has been harmful to communities and ecosystems, much like a slow-going natural disaster. Humans are just as much a part of nature as the wind and soil. Out of this desire to heal, I have sought out farms to grow my skill sets of being a steward to care for this land. It brings me joy to sit with land and reclaim spaces for a healthy connection to happen. When we accept that we are part of the ecosystem, one that has needs, we can give to those needs in meaningful ways. I am looking to continue to work with farmers and grow roots for multiple seasons.

  • More details about your skills

I have been working with children of all ages in most fields. In the past, I worked at a Jewish farm camp with ages 7-14. In my free time, I often cook up flavorful veggies and explore new recipes. I have been an organic gardener for three seasons and have tropical farm experience as well. I had the opportunity to lead 10 peers in the construction of an earthbag bench. I am fascinated with mixed media projects and enjoy bringing an artistic touch into each project.
