Hey there :)
I signed up for becoming a Workawayer because in the past years I have learned that finding myself somewhere unfamiliar, with people that are just as curious to get to know the world outside of what we are used to, is what truly makes me feel connected to myself and my life. I love the Feeling of questioning the things I thought I knew and getting to know myself and my surrounding in the process. I have been traveling the world with exchange Programs since I was fifteen and already got to see this world through many different eyes due to the amazing people I have gotten to know along the way. Since I always look for challenges, I have learned how to adapt fast and got to experience working in quiet a few fields already. I love drawing and painting and my camera is always with me. I am definitely always searching for the next adventure!
I am an 21 year old Psychology student at Maastricht university .. :) I try my best to be and do good, which is why I have made it a priority to volunteer at animal shelters whenever I can. I find it to be very rewarding to help and care for animals, especially dogs.i have now volunteered at 4 different shelters around the world and am very excited to keep on doing so.
My dream is to volunteer in meaningful ways all over the world.

I’m Daphne, I just finished my bachelor digital society at Maastricht university. Now that I am taking a break from studying I finally have the space to explore our world more.
My dream has always been to travel and get to know different cultures and people. I think workaway gives me the amazing opportunity to do so! I am hardworking and always excited to learn and try new things. I feel a deep desire to contribute something to our world, whether that is helping people, animals or nature.
For this summer I would love to spend my time helping dogs, and giving them the time, energy and love they deserve.

I have been tutoring Children in English (1st to 12th Grade) and in Spanish (5th to 8th Grade) during the past two years. Due to that i have the knowledge and the material to teach those languages or at least the Basics! Since I was born and raised in Germany, I am capable of teaching German as well. I am always interested in learning about new languages as well!

Hello dear Hosts :)
In the following I am going to try to give you an impression of the person I am and the skills i have learned so far. Hopefully that is going to help you decide if I fit the profile your looking for!
The first Thing you should know about me, is that I am very much of a people person. I love interacting with others and I am proud to say that I am quiet good at motivating and inspiring people. I like communicating and listening to what others need or occupy their minds with.
That also applies to the way I act around animals. During the Covid-19 Lockdown I volunteered at a Farm and took care of a sick Pony to get out of the house and be productive. I also grew up around all sorts of animals so I have learned to understand and take care of them.
When given a Task, I tend to be very passionate about adapting and fulfilling everyone’s expectations. Which is the reason why i went through school, always trying to understand and get inspired by the things that were handed to me. Finally that got me to graduate Highschool as one of the ten best graduates and with a passion for a large Variety of Topics, in July 2022.
Since then I have been trying to get work experiences in different work fields like: cleaning in a Hotel, waitressing at a Host for Event- Locations, being an Allrounder at a 1 Week long Festival, working at a Daycare in an Elementary School and tutoring Children in English, Math and Spanish. I am currently waitressing in a Cafe :)
I care about our nature and taking care of our resources a lot, which is why me and some of my Friends created a Programm to try and make our High School Climate-neutral with the help of the Organisation „Schools for Future“, during our Junior and Senior year. We archived to take our designed Program so far that we even got to present it in front of the government in Berlin last year!

Furthermore I am a very creative person. I majored in Art and English in High School and I am currently applying to multiple Communication-Design Studies all over Europe. I like to come up with creative Ideas to solve all kinds of Problems or to simply bring a little color and beauty into places or Things.

Another Passion of mine are sports. I love exercising, especially outside. I am a Dancer and i have been dancing for about 15 years now. I am also pretty good at surfing, skiing, swimming and volleyball. In all of these Areas i have taken classes or done completions. I am also a certified babysitter and have done all the mandatory First-Aid-Classes.

I have successfully participated in over 4 Exchange Programms all over the world. The longest one was a Ten- Month Exchange Programm with ISE, as an Exchange Student in a High School in California (2019/2020). Therefore my English Skills are almost fluent and my Spanish knowledge is well.
Besides building me as a person, that Experience formed me to become a Team-Player, since I had to adapt and participate well within new groups of People many Times.

I am always looking for possibilities to get to know new cultures and see the world from other perspectives, in order to understand and learn. I would appreciate you giving me an insight into your daily life and your perspective on this world so much!
I am very interested and willing to face new Challenges and show up with the effort and Motivation it takes to support and learn about your Company or Programm!
