Hi, we are a couple travelling together - Tim and Nare (V/Valentine).

We have packed up our lives in Australia and are travelling through South East Asia for the foreseeable future. Tim is originally from Germany and moved to Australia when he was 7 years old. He is fluent in both English and German and speaks some Italian. V is originally from South Korea and moved to Australia 11years ago. She is fluent in both English and Korean.

We both care about social and environmental sustainability which has influenced the way we live. We both have a passion for community development with V having professional experiences in social work and Tim having experience in environmental community development projects. This is why we would like to find meaningful experiences through workaway where we can volunteer by both learning and sharing with local communities. We also love learning about new cultures, languages and skills.

Tim's professional background is in environmental science/management, marine tourism, hospitality (cooking) and a long time ago, he was a professional contemporary dancer! Tim also has experience in teaching English and dance.

V's professional background started in industial engineering and for the last few years she has worked in social work sector specialised in aged care advocacy. V also has extensive work experience in hospitality (front staff, barista), receptionist, teaching English and Mathematics and horticulture.

Both of us have worked together on a flower farm which was very hard under the Australian sun, but very rewarding and we both are not scared of physical work.

Our other interests are anything ocean related (snorkeling/diving/relaxing on the beach), cooking meals for each other, exploring nature, animals and getting creative in any forms (drawing/painting furniture/dancing, etc).

We both have very positive attitudes towards life and are open minded. We would consider ourselves as respectful, responsible but fun loving.

We are very flexible with time and location as our travel is open ended and we do not have a time limit. It goes without saying that we respect local cultures and community and we would love to learn more!
