Hi my name is Val. I'm currently traveling in Australia. I grew up in Texas, but have come here to grow a bit more with opportunities to be around people who's worlds are different than mine, and that I can learn from. I come from a place where people often stay where they have grown up, and I want to move outside of that and try to share with others more than just in my small circle. I feel most connected to myself and others being outside in nature, I want to work somewhere or live where I am surrounded by this more often. Other than that, I am glad to take on whatever adventures or jobs need to be done along the way.

I have had a couple workaway experiences before while traveling in Portugal, and spent most of my time gardening, harvesting and weeding in the fields as well as general housework, tidying, organising and deep cleaning. I am also good with a paintbrush, I can jump on any hands on project and will be happy to play some music while we work if that is invited.
I also have experience with creating spaces and design projects; working with art directors, and as a design coordinator for weddings and events. My background in school is in Hospitality management, so I enjoy hands on projects, that are often changing and flow differently every day, making it challenging but exciting.
