Description
Hello!
I have workaway-ed at many different farms and communities all around the world, from South America, to North America, Europe, and Southern and Eastern Africa. I love volunteering; especially working at farms. Agriculture has always been my greatest interest. I've lived on veggie and herb farms and vineyards from a few weeks to as long as 6 months at a time. I've also been a workaway host for a 2 years while living on my old sailboat in Panama, helping to organize community and agriculture volunteers for local people in the islands of San Blas, where work consisted of helping produce food, as well as building homes, and participating in the local culture.
Right now I will be traveling to Prague to attend an ethnobotany conference in Early June, and then traveling to visit friends and check out some cities with masters programs that I'm interested in applying to (most likely for agroecology or ecological conservation). My only set plan is to make it to Bulgaria for my friends birthday around July 7th. I am interested in volunteering, especially at farms, to get a better idea of how the locals in every country take care of the land.
A little bit more about my background: I got my bachelor's in Environmental Science and Sustainability, and have been traveling since. After I graduated, I bought a beat up sailbaot with my ex-partner, and I sailed around Panama and Colombia for almost 3 years. Since then I've traveled to Zimbabwe to attend a seminar on food security and continued to live in Zimbabwe for 3 months and contribute to vulture conservation research, working with wild animals. I also spend some time in the villages working on agriculture and helping develop low-tech/appropriate technology during that time, as well as volunteering at schools in Zambia and an animal rehab for disabled children in Namibia.
I have been working for the last 2 years online for an enviornmental nonprofit focused on environmental education, mentorship, and policy, but am not currently working regular hours, so I have all of my free time to devote to volunteering :)Interests

I am also a bit handy, as I have been living on, working on, and fixing up my sailboat for the last 2 and a half years.
