I am a 25 year old Canadian hoping to spend some time connecting to nature and the outdoors.
I love learning anything that you can teach me and specifically enjoy languages.
I know some French, though I understand more than I speak, and am working on learning some German, Spanish, and Japanese .
For several years, I have been fascinated by learning how to live off the land and be self-sustainable. I've been working seasonally on an organic farm close to my home in Canada, and have found that the techniques, practices, and specific information that I learned only led me to want to know more. Specifically, I became interested in learning about foraging, and anything involving medicinal and edible plants.
Another thing I must mention my enjoyment of is music - I play piano and guitar, and I love singing. I'm interested in almost all genres of music, and would love to hear anything you'd like to share with me as well.
Hiking, biking, mountaineering, and training have also peaked my interest; I hope to someday travel vast distances on foot, and train with monks in a temple.
I am currently experimenting with sourdough starters, specifically gluten-free, and would be happy to share my knowledge and a portion of my labours.
So far I've been enjoying my time working away from home immensely :)
