We couldn’t have lucked out more by having Ian as our guest for 3 weeks. It was an unusual situation as we had met briefly the night before I had to leave on a trip. Nonetheless, Ian is a guy who you can trust with everything. He is responsible, conscientious and caring. Ian was a delightful addition to our home; hanging out with my father

I stayed here for about three weeks in January. Both Jack and Brian are nice people and I got along with Jack very well and we always had nice talks. The house is nice and in a nice neighborhood and just at the bus stop from where you can take the bus to get downtown in a bit more then half an hour. Although there was quite a bit of snow when I

I had an amazing time staying with Brian and Jack in Virginia. While there, we visited local restaurants, sites of historical interest (George Washington's house at Mount Vernon), and museums (including the Air and Space Museum at Dulles airport). They were both very kind and generous, with a great house in a perfect location.

Roman is a true renaissance man! We had an amazing two-weeks filled with activities, from a historical tour of George Washington’s home in Mount Vernon, Virginia, to evenings in Old Town Alexandria and a pub crawl through Georgetown.
Together, we tackled organizing the basement library and visited a local plant nursery where we picked up an

One standout conversation was our hilarious attempt to decode the English language (from England), especially the many meanings of “tea”—the drink, the meal, the social event, the origins and traditions and probably a few other things we missed!
Overall, Roman was a delight to host, and if you ever need someone to help you garden, cook, or dissect the intricacies of tea, he’s your man!

I had an absolutely incredible experience with Brian and Jack. It was two weeks of cultural exchanges, guided tours around the cities and Jack's life. We attended a baseball game, dined at local restaurants, and I learned a lot about the cuisine of other countries from people Brian has hosted through Workaway.

We had an absolute blast hanging out with Diogo! He truly came-through on the cultural exchange delivering bigtime on a feijoada dinner: two kinds of farofa, couve, Brazilian rice…delicious :)

First of all, I had a wonderful experience in Annandale. They are a very kind and fun family. I was able to enjoy two weeks cooking, helping organize the garage, going to museums and dinners! And I need to improve my English more! They teach me English gently! It was an unforgettable experience! Thank you.

We couldn't have been luckier to have Ibuki as our guest for two weeks- wish he could have stayed longer:) We had a lot of fun cooking and going out together. He was an enormous help around the house. We were happy to be a part of his 1 year oddessey!
