This was my first work away experience and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful family to work with ❤️! From the beginning stages of planning and meeting on FaceTime, Annie has been excellent in communicating with me and showing the same enthusiasm and excitement as me. We met on FaceTime , shared stories and discussed the possibilities and
… read more expectations to work at her language school. Fast forward 3 months , I’m in Annie’s home meeting her beautiful family , eating dinner with them , and teaching all the incredible children at her school. She is very clear about her expectations and work schedule , she is willing to be flexible and work with you as long as you are willing to work with her and get the job done. The children at the language school are so bright , I was able to get creative and use some of my own experiences to create meaningful lessons and learning games for the students. She also has routines and curriculum she uses that is easy to learn and put in practice with the students. I met another wonderful teacher at the school, Ms. Ana, she will also help guide you , so you will never feel lost.
I also had the opportunity to work with her wonderful son , Einstein. We had an online mini writing workshop and it was such gift to see how proud he was of his work by the end of the workshop. Once you meet Einstein, you will fall in love with him, you will hear him playing piano , you will have great conversations with him, and you will quickly learn how well educated and bright he is. We enjoyed dinner together , we went to the local market together , we tried new foods, we talked about anything and everything. I can’t speak highly enough about my experience. The neighborhood is away from the loudness of the city center in Bangkok , about 45-50 min away. It is safe , clean, and quiet. Annie has a marvelous housekeeper who will cook delicious meals for you, she will always greet you with a smile. If you’re thinking about working with this family , there is nothing to think about, get connected, and get started ! This cultural experience has left me profoundly enriched ! Thank you Annie, Dad, and Einstein for an amazing 2 weeks. Big hug for Einstein ❤️! Hope to see you all again !
