I stayed two weeks at the farm and I really enjoyed their warm and open atmosphere. I lived in a hut in the fields together with an other young worker of their business. Erez and his workers are arborists and therefor I mostly worked alone or together with his teenaged kids. I got different jobs. For example weeding, painting of a wall, harvesting
… read more of carob beans and in the first week to herd sheeps a few hours in the morning. In the afternoon it was quite easy to get to the beach (~30min by bike). Because the farm is a little bit off the beaten track it was not that easy to reach other places without own car, but the
host and the other worker invited me often to join them for Shabbat dinner etc. and they even took me to a trip to the Golan hights. I will keep may stay with Erez in good memory. He and his wife, they are warm and uncomplicated people :-) they also invited me also to a family-meal (jewish feast), which i enjoyed much and found very gentle of them. It was my first workaway experience in Israel and i liked the work with the sheep a lot. Erez and his co-workers on the farm work
… read more hard, i think, and so it also happened one or two times, that i had to remember Erez, when my working-time is over... but this is no problem, because he cares about you and likes clear comunication i think. In my stay he also offered, that i could go for a travel for a few days and come back... so he is usualy uncomplicated. I can realy recomend the work on this farm. At the Farm is always a welcoming atmosphere. During our stay there were always warm-hearted people around who offered their help in any duty and we could always ask them about everything.
The work with the sheeps is routine but it’s a lot of fun.

Me and my friend spend one week at this farm and had a lovely time! Everyone was incredibly kind and warm, we felt comfortable right away. The work was not hard at all and we had much fun taking care of the sheep herd. I had an amazing week on this farm. Erez was lovely, very helpful. He welcomed us into his family and showed us how to heard sheep and pick berries. Everyone was really lovely.

Last night I had a dream about Erez and Mishal having a Rock band... This shows how much the stay and the wonderful volunteering experience (which was also my first one) is still in my head and heart! And it shows how much of a great community and team vibe I sensed while living at the farm as well!

… read more these kind and interesting people which give you the feeling of belonging (also if its just for a few days or weeks) rightaway, so you can feel at home.
The work was absolutely doable and we had lots of fun actually!
You wouldnt want to point out specific things that went very well because the biggest influence for making this volunteering so great and so perfect was the way people (and animals haha) welcomed, appreciated and treated you. Which was just so lovely, honest and with such gratitude. I really had the feeling that it was all about giving and receiving.

We spent one week at Erez and Mishals farm and it was absolutely amazing! I experienced an atmosphere between the workers, the family and the animals filled with love, happiness and caring.
