**Please note that we **do not accept volunteers for stays of only one or two weeks**.
We are looking for people who are truly interested in **a meaningful cultural and work exchange**, not just a short holiday.
This experience involves **sharing daily family life**, supporting us with **childcare, light housework, and simple tasks**, and being open to **genuine connection** and cultural exchange.
For this reason, we kindly ask that you consider staying for **a minimum of 3 weeks**, so that there is enough time to build trust, adapt to the rhythm of the family, and enjoy a truly enriching experience for everyone.

We are an Italian family with three children aged 12, 10, and 4. We live in Acireale, a charming village near the city of Catania, in Sicily. Our home is an independent house with a large garden, surrounded by nature.
We love simple things, spending time outdoors, traveling, and sharing cultural experiences.
We are looking for a friendly and open-minded workawayer to help us with:
Babysitting (playing with the kids, doing creative or outdoor activities)
Housekeeping (helping with daily tasks like tidying up, washing dishes, etc.)
Gardening
Cooking
Language practice
And more, depending on your interests and skills!
What we expect:
Real involvement with the children (without phones during activities unless necessary)
Participation in daily routines and meals
A collaborative and respectful attitude
A true cultural exchange and good times together
We’ve had both positive and negative experiences in the past, so we prefer to be clear from the start 😊
Important notes:
No smoking in the house
No phone use while interacting with the children (except for important reasons)
We ask for your presence and cooperation during shared meals
There’s always something to do in our family! We’d love to welcome someone who wants to become part of it and enjoy this exchange as much as we do.

You can learn italian language, know italian tradition and culture. You can discover our beautiful island, since Chiara (mother) is a mountain leader you can come with her during her tours.
You wil stay in a private room and you'll have a private bathroom. Food are included. You will enjoy to cook with us!
