Descripción
We run a B&B in rural Portugal. Our visitors from Portugal and around the world love us for being a charming place to relax in the countryside.
My name is Miguel and I manage the hotel together with my wife Susana, and we work with Alex who coordinates our online side.
We would like to host two people - a couple - who can help us clean and "re-purpose" an old barns for use as a storage area. This will be heavy-duty cleaning, painting and some repair. Carpentry and tool skills would be an additional plus. There is also work clearing brush and heavy vegetation.
You will be with us at a time of year when there is no tourism, so the work is exclusively maintenance around the quinta.

We are a Portuguese family with English skills, living in the countryside where we host visitors. We love to befriend the people who stay with us for a longer term, and especially those who enjoy working and helping us bring our old farm back to life. We have a special museum as a part of our farm, and are hoping to re-introduce old country skills such as breadmaking in the buildings we are recuperating, as a part of our artisanal offerings.
Our corner of Portugal is a lovely place where we grow almonds, olives and oranges. We also make artisanal confectionary for sale. Local public transportation cannot be depended on. However there are easy and reliable bus and train links nearby. The main towns nearby are Idanha a Nova and Castelo Branco. Having a car is recommended.
