We love learning new languages, travelling and trying new things! Studying and sports are a big part of our daily lives and happiness! One of our favourite things to do as friends is to connect and build relationships with others, expanding our knowledge in all different ways of life!

Caoimhe - I have worked in many different areas eg. hospitality, teaching, coaching etc. I have many hobbies including competing in Diving and Basketball and running from time to time. I am a hardworking person who is very sport and study motivated and I love trying and experiencing new things!

Naoise - I have gained great experience and developed many skills from my time working in areas such as hospitality in a busy restaurant and coaching on an Athletics Summer Camps for kids! I am a lover of sports in particular Athletics. I have a passion for languages, experiencing new cultures and traveling the world while building connections!

The workaway with Caoimhe and Naoise was really pleasant.
They are two quiet and nice girls.
Luckily we never had any misunderstandings.
They showed interest and particular enthusiasm for trekking, mountain biking and kayaking trips.

We spent just under two spectacular weeks in the beautiful Ischia with Claudio. It was both of our first time doing a Workaway, and the experience exceeded our expectations!
Claudio was an amazing host. He is very dedicated and passionate about sports. He pays great attention to detail and all of his equipment is in exceptional condition. The… read more apartment that we had all to ourselves was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. We were supplied with all the essentials such as beach towels, a fully kitted out kitchen, and bed linens. The apartment could not have been in a more perfect location right by the sea!
We explored the picturesque island by foot, on bikes and in kayaks. The highlight of our trip was definitely the 43km island bike tour. The views were breathtaking, the up-hills were tricky but the fact that the bikes were electric helped and the downhills made them totally worth it. We shared a delicious bruschetta courtesy of Claudio at the halfway point while overlooking the surreal landscapes.
Some of our other highlights included an 11km sunset hike up Mount Epomeo and a 9km kayaking trip — our only one, unfortunately, due to wind and seasickness. Still, the time we did spend on the water was incredibly peaceful and serene, with stunning views of the island all around us.
After some intense days of activities, we were treated to Claudio very kindly, sharing some local recipes with us and showing us how to cook them. We made Caprese, Pasta e Patate, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, and Melanzane al Funghetto.
This Workaway experience stood apart from others, as it involved very little traditional “work”. Our main responsibilities were simply to care for the apartment and approach the activities with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to learn about the island, its nature, and culture while working on improving our athletic skills and assisting Claudio with equipment whenever needed.
During our rest days, we had the opportunity to explore some of the island's gems — including the castle, the hot springs, Sant'Angelo, and Forio — thanks to Claudio kindly giving us a lift by car. We even got the chance to visit the neighbouring island of Procida.
It was a privilege to have the opportunity to engage in these sports alongside Claudio - allowing us to develop our skills, exploring the island, enjoying its natural beauty, and learning to make delicious new dishes. It is clear that Claudio is looking for individuals who share his passion and athleticism to engage in the sports at such a high intensity level. We hope we met the mark, as we genuinely had an incredible time learning so many new skills. In the future we hope Claudio can find more people that share his passion for sports, nature and the simple life.
It was truly an unforgettable experience from the moment we were picked up at the port to the moment we were dropped off again! Grazie Mille Claudio!!
