I’m 48 (however don’t act or feel that age) I’m originally from Liverpool and love to travel. I did my first work away in Sep 2019 in Crete, I absolutely loved it and since have made it a bit of a lifestyle choice!
I am really adaptable, I have a marine engineering background as well as project management.
I am a qualified photographer.
I have also managed a pub.
I’m not shy of hard work, have picked and packed fruit whilst travelling and have also worked in hostels.
I’ve been to every continent in the world (helped by a military career) and love love love an adventure :)

I’m literally up for trying anything. My first work away was in a cafe and farm I’m definitely happier hands on in the field but also like putting myself out my comfort zone.
I was also a professional photographer for 8 years and I am travelling with camera kit.

Emma was an amazing help at our shelter! She was friendly, easy going, hard working, loved the dogs and was liked by everyone.
She knew her way around the shelter really quick and saw and did work that she wasn't even asked to do. We truly appreciated her help and hands-on mentality a lot and she will be missed here.

I spent 10 days at the dog sanctuary in April 2025. Keith who established, runs and lives there is an absolute star!
The volunteers accommodation is fabulous, Brand new building, double room, small kitchen area, bathroom plenty of hot water!
There would be tasks that needed to be completed daily - poop scooping, cleaning and feeding the dogs.… read more

I was instantly made to feel like part of the family, Maria and Martin are amazing people and they have created a special place.

I spent 4 weeks here over Christmas and New Year 23/24. I was made to feel super welcome by the staff and the locals in the bar and throughly enjoyed my time.

Emma was just BRILLIANT - hard working - willing to tackle anything - adaptable and TREMENDOUS FUN to have around. I am sure that Emma would fit in anywhere and give one hundred and ten percent to anything asked of her - I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I spent three weeks at Naomi’s house in the woods. The work was not hard mainly gardening and she cooked lovely meals every evening. The local village is less than 10 minutes walk where there is a small shop / bar. The river is 2 minute walk and was ok to swim in early October. I imagine in the summer it would be bliss!
