We’re Ally and Ness, two 23-year-old friends who met in Italy. We both have a passion for travel, cultural immersion and good food! We’re hoping to experience something new while taking a break from our daily lives. We’re eager to lend a helping hand in any way we can! Ally's American and Ness is French. We'd love to practice our Italian and we're looking forward to sharing our cultures!

We both have experience in the service industry, Ness has a degree in linguistics, English literature and history while Ally has a degree in horticulture.

Ness: Fluent in French and English, I love baking and learning new things. I've worked as an au pair before and don't mind physical work.

Ally: I’m more than happy to help with cleaning and would gladly lend a hand in the kitchen. Can assist with construction and DIY projects as well.

It's very difficult for me to write a fair bad comment but I feel disappointed and upset.
We selected Ines and Ally based on their profiles and after a video call. We talked and showed them the house, and discussed our needs, as written in the description we were looking for help with cleaning, general maintenance, garden, and chopping wood.

I… read more must say that they are very polite, quiet and introverted girls.

They arrived during a difficult week for us since we had a lot of work and a serious problem with the sewage (the toilet). After having to go pick them up by car because they took the wrong bus, we invited them for pizza, and after a day of rest they started their one and only day of help. They were supposed to stay one month. We asked them to start at 9:00 and they showed up at 10:30. They cleaned 6 hours (including the lunch break, that they counted as working time) and went back to rest leaving leaving the work halfway. And I mean, two people, 12h... you can surely clean from top to botton 70 squared meters... but they couldn't.
Because of the toilet problems we asked them to use the compost toilet or pee in the garden. They were seriously on trouble with that giving almost no reasons. Privacy... (¿?) The next day they left late in the morning (after a good sleep) saying they were very sorry but it was not the right experience for them.

We asked them for help with what we specified in the ad: maintenance, cleaning... but they left saying that they needed a private toilet and that they couldn't stay because they felt uncomfortable.

48 hours in which they wasted our time, my time! You go away because you can't use a compost toilet and you leave me with all the chores to do, in great need of help and with no volunteers. If you are a correct person, an adult, responsible of your choices, with a minimum of empathy and correctness, accuracy, respect for the others... you stay, finish your job, help, and then leave instead of going away as fast as you can because you cant be in nature. We were very clear, this is not a hotel where you have a private room and bathroom, it was written nowere and you were not asking for it either. You come here to work in exchange of food and a room, if you are looking for womehting else you go on holidays.

It seems tremendously irresponsible to me to leave at the first difficulty without thinking that you have come to do a volunteer exchange, accepting the challenge and proving yourself that you can do something with yourself. And I am sorry to say that I gave more than I received, I feel disappointed, used and with no trust at all in this people. Now I am left with the problem, a dirty house, bed sheets to clean, a room to hover and all the work undone and without volunteers.

I DON'T RECOMEND THEM. so sorry.
