My name is Anne Sofie Thrane, and I'm a Danish journalism student currently living in Columbia, Missouri, USA. Starting February 2025, I'll be interning at the Danish Consulate General in Silicon Valley, California.
Before that, I’ll be visiting Canada in January to update my visa, and I’m thrilled to take the opportunity to explore the country while I’m there!
I’m a positive, hardworking, and adaptable person who loves cultural exchange and meeting new people. I have experience with hospitality and looking after children, and I'd be happy to expand my French skills during my stay.

I have a diverse background in childcare, hospitality, and organizational management. As an au pair for Danish and German families in Paris, I cared for three children aged six months, three years, and six years. This experience not only strengthened my childcare and multitasking skills but also allowed me to enhance my proficiency in French and German. Additionally, I contributed to household management by assisting with cleaning and preparing meals.
In the hospitality sector, I worked as a receptionist at three different hotels over several years. In these roles, I honed my customer service expertise, managed reservation systems, and coordinated shift schedules, ensuring smooth daily operations. My experience has made me highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing both individual tasks and team responsibilities.
