I had a great week in Aken, including trips to Dessau. I came too early in the spring though, and most of the house is heated from the sun,so there were things we could not do yet because of the cold. Ia is a very nice woman.
I enjoyed the week she stood in my house. She's interesting in local life and we chatted a lot.
Ia is hardworking and helped me in so many things. Clearing empty a small house in the yard, removing the old carpet and cleaning walls and the stone floor.

Ia was a joy to have around. Nothing was too much bother for her and she helped me a great deal while she was here.... from chopping wood, to gardening and doing some inside mud plastering. She also loved taking herself off for long walks with Mungo the dog who missed her as much as I did when she left. Can definitely recommend Ia to other hosts.
