*UPDATE* --I am looking to find a host from December 4-10 during my last weeks living in Chile!
I have loved traveling all of my life and have been fortunate enough to explore over 30 different countries! Each new place has introduced me to incredible people and new perspectives, and I am hoping that Work Away can be another way that I get to keep learning from the world as I finish university at Georgetown in Washington, DC. With that said, I'm very interested in sustainability projects, language exchange, or anything that gets me outdoors and my hands dirty:)
Not only do I hope to learn from Work Away, but I also can't wait to contribute to my hosts project and goals in any way I can. After living with local host families in Spain, India, and currently with a family in Santiago, Chile , I can easily adapt to the life of my host. Growing up in a large family also taught me to be easy going. I also know my cleanliness and motivated energy can be really helpful to a household or community. In terms of my work experience, I have volunteered for various NGOs in the U.S. as a teacher, construction worker with Habitat for Humanity, and cook for family shelters. I also love working in coffee shops and restaurants because of the fast-paced tasks and importance of staying present.
I'm so excited to find a host that I can connect with, learn from, and with whom I can share my own passion and skills. Please reach out if this seems like a good fit or if you have any questions!

During my Work Away, I would love to assist in a variety of household tasks. I can also provide help with any and all chores like deep cleaning, laundry, yard work, and grocery shopping. Not only am I capable in these tasks, but I also enjoy keeping a clean and organized living space:) I also learned interior and exterior home painting throughout my childhood because my mom renovates homes, and I have loved being her helper around these projects.
As for more outdoor skills, I am both Leave No Trace Certified and have my Wilderness First Aid, which could be useful for trekking and hiking purposes. I also have plenty of experience with gardening at home in the U.S. and would love to learn more about planting in different settings.

As for my hobbies, I love audiobooks (just finished "Amor en los tiempos de colera" and wow), backpacking, trying new vegan recipes, and board games.
In order to connect with people and build genuine connections, I have deleted all forms of social media and really enjoy being as offline as possible! I would love to fully turn off my devices while staying with my Work Away host in order to connect and immerse myself with your project and space!
