  We're Claire and Rocky, a couple in our late 30s early 40s. We live in the hills of manawahe on a beautiful property amongst nature. We have been replanting the land for the last 7 years. Transforming it from paddock to native bush. It's a peaceful retreat close to the beach and lake.

  Here's a great place to learn about native plants. We have a native plant nursery and we have been replanting the land for the last few years. We can share knowledge about tree planting projects, native plants and tiny house living.

  Aide

  We're looking for a lovely single person or couple to look after our dog, chooks, and possibly some plant watering while we're away from the 1st to 20th July 2025.
  
  We have an older friendly dog called Zaccie. He's a 14 year old rescue, mixed breed, sweet boy. He is pretty low maintenance, just needs to be fed, kept warm and given some love. He’s a little hard of hearing and a bit unsteady on his legs due to arthritis, but he still enjoys leisurely walks around the property, napping in the sun, and curling up on his beanbag in the evening. He is fine to be left alone during the day.
  
  We also have 4 chooks who are pretty self sufficient, they will just need their food and water topped up and their eggs collected (yours to enjoy!).
  
  We also have lots of outdoor native plants in pots which may need watering once or twice a week depending on the weather. This takes roughly an hour per watering session. Just a heads-up, some plants are a bit tricky to reach, so you might need to bend and stretch a bit!

  We have a modern tiny house set up with three cozy cabins that make up our home.
  One has the kitchen, lounge, and TV.
  Another is the bathroom.
  The third is the sleepout, with a comfy queen bed, a couch, and a little office space.
  The whole place will be yours to enjoy.
  
  Just a heads up, the cabins are separate so you'll need to go outside to get from one to the other. You'll also have to be comfortable with using a long drop toilet and/or compostable toilet which needs to be emptied every few days.

  You will be more than welcome to help yourselves to the eggs from our chooks. You will have full access to the kitchen to prepare your own food.
  Please note you will need your own vehicle!
