It was such a blessing to live with this beautiful family. They quickly welcomed me into their home and made me feel like a part of the family. The children are so sweet and full of energy! … read more gluten allergy with such care and attention, and treated me to the best gluten free treats ever! It was so sad to leave, but I know that we will always remain in touch. The most astounding aspect of this Workaway occurred afterwards. I departed from their home for my next Workaway in Sicily, but upon my arrival, I discovered that my new host was not safe. I was stranded in Sicily with no sense of security. Simona was up texting and calling me until almost midnight, and arranged with her distant relatives in Sicily for me to stay with them. The next day, I found myself in the home of a loving family whom I did not know...I was safe, and all because of Simona and her love and care. She called me when I was scared and reassured me, and checked on me every day. This family is truly special. Thank you all so much for being my Lanciano family, now and always! The time we had with Morgan was so precious for all of us! She was part of the family in each moment of the day and was always ready to help, play or give some advices and was never tired! Francesca enjoyed this time so much as she felt like having a bigger sister. I was so thankful when I found she had cooked and baked for us when I came home
… read more from work...and I also enjoyed jumping around and playing Simon says! We really hope she will come back very soon!

It feels odd to leave a review for this as I would for an Airbnb or something similar. I truly felt like a part of the family while I was here, and that is something that I will always hold dear to me. The city itself is a lovely, old Italian town in close proximity to both the beach and the mountains and surrounded by green fields. The children
… read more are both lovely, really. Francesca loves to dance and she's quite an active and good-hearted girl. Lorenzo loves soccer and is, again, very sweet. I feel like by the end we were all comfortable with each other and having so much fun. I was horribly sad to leave but if they'll have me I would love to come back one day if my schedule allows.
