  About the place and accommodation:
  The place is in a beautiful, retreated village surrounded by lakes, rivers, parks and forests. Tourist attraction Mustion Linna is very nearby.
  We can offer an old house to live just next to the garden where there is a kitchen, a sauna, shower, toilet and shared dormatory type rooms, very hippie style.
  
  
  About the food&style:
  Food cost will be paid by the host. The shop is faraway, so groceries will be bought once a week, or by filling a shopping-list of needed groceries that will be given to the host and they will bring what is needed.
  Cooking and groceries will be done together with other volunteers in the house. The host will provide only vegetarian food. If you want to get meat/fish (or alcohol, tobacos, sweets etc.) products, you can buy them at your own cost.
  Some bicycles are there that you can borrow. Nearest bus stop is in 3km and it runs from mon-fri.
  
  About the hosts:
  We have had our certificated organic garden since already 1996. The company used to be ran by Jukka and Katja but now Jukka has retired.
  Katja (1975) is an artist doing her art doctoral studies at the University of Lapland during her freetime from the garden and doing full time gardening during the spring. Hosts live in another home about 1km away between the garden and the volunteers home.

  You will be surrounded by beautiful nature, so you have a chance to explore the surroundings. If you will be little longer time you get possibility to learn more about organic gardening.

  About the work:
  After finishing our organic seedling work in spring(this you can join if you want as well! from march to may), we are growing for own use some organic veggies. Volunteers work will be taking care of the garden area after the season is finish, in june, july, august. Its means, cleaning the areas after season finish, preparing the ground for vegetables, tilling by hand, planting seedlings, caring and weeding, daily watering in hot weather.
  Work includes lots physical work since we are making everything by hand. Also work includes some maintaining works at the garden in summertime like grass cutting and keeping the greenhouse areas in shape.
  Also we need help with maintaining our volunteers house, what is old private house with garden. Work can include several maintaince works :
  painting the house, cleaning the cellar, working outside of the home and cleaning or organizing things or chopping wood etc

  Autres infos...

  It's quite retreated village (very normal in Finland...), so moving around is not so easy unless you come with your own car. It's not far from the capital Helsinki, but the buses not running too often. The nearest bus station is 3km away, you can walk or ride a bicycle there. Buses are not running usually on weekends.
  When you arrive and leave the farm, of course we will pick you up from the nearest bus/train station.
