**** QUICK INFO: I am currently looking for someone to take care of my current foster pup Griffin, while I am traveling with my own pups! The tasks will remain the same! I ll send you pictures per WhatsApp once we are connected :) He is the same size as the tan dog in the pictures! ****

Hi! I live in Troncones, close to Zihuatanejo and I am searching for a responsible dog-sitter while I am traveling.

I have adopted two dogs and I am usually fostering a few more. You will only be responsible for my two girls. Their names are Saiya and Soleil. Saiya is very submissive and gentle with people. She doesn't show much affection, but she secretly loves all the cuddles. Other dogs can be difficult for her. She is not reactive in the way that you would think of a reactive dog, she doesn't bark and lunch at the leash growling at other dogs, but she has attacked other dogs before, which is why I really need to trust the person that would like to come, to follow my instructions. Saiya cannot stay alone, which is why I would love for her to join you on your daily adventures (There are other options though, no worries!)
Soleil is the opposite of Saiya, she needs a few seconds to warm up, but with treats, it s very easy. She will then love you with all her heart and show you what an incredibly affectionate and loving dog she is. She s also an absolute goofball and will probably make you laugh a lot. She is generally great with other dogs, as long as there is a slow introduction and she can stay easily alone.

I need to say that my dogs have some issues (which is why I adopted them) and I would need someone that is comfortable around dogs and not scared to react or to handle difficult situations. It hardly ever happens, but in case it does, you will need to react quickly and follow my instructions to keep every animal save.

My name is Eva, I am 31 years old and I volunteer for a dog rescue organization. To sustain my living choices, I teach German online. I live right next to the beach and the main road of our small town :)

I will always be reachable on the phone, feel free to reach out anytime! Also Sandrine is there to help, in case of an emergency, she can bring dogs to the vet or whatever else is needed!

If you want to immerse into Mexican culture, you definitely have the opportunity to do so! If you prefer to hang out with expats, there is also the possibility to do that ;D Or you can just enjoy some quiet time for yourself! We offer everything in Troncones!

  • Aide

    Aide

    * Feeding the dogs twice daily
    * Giving Saiya her daily medicine in the morning
    * Walking them mornings and evenings in the jungle or on the beach
    * Preparing them a licking bowl or a kong or some kind of mental stimulation during the day
    * Giving them lots of love and cuddles <3
    * Very important: Don't leave Saiya alone unless we planned it well together! :)

They also know some tricks and you are very welcome to do some trick training with them.
And of course, I would love to get regular updates and pictures of them :D

It would be great to find someone that can feed and walk them every day, you can skip the evening walks, two days a week without any trouble. If you want to have two days completely off, we can arrange that as well.

    Hébergement

You will live in a beautiful little Mexican house, that is completely fenced in. Your apartment is downstairs, upstairs lives Sandrine, another volunteer at the shelter. You will have your own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. The dogs sleep inside my room, usually on the bed, but sometimes they are too hot and they move to the floor. I don't mind if they sleep on the floor or in their dog bed and I can gladly show you some tricks on how to achieve that, in case you don't want them in the bed.
You will have everything you need in the fully equipped kitchen and you are very welcome to use the food that I left. In the bedroom is an AC and there is a mosquito net door plus mosquito nets on the windows.

The bed is a "matrimonio", a bit smaller than a Queensize. If you feel comfortable to live there as a couple or as friends, you are very welcome.

Everything you need will be in walking distance. The beach is just 1 minute away, same as some very typical Mexican restaurants, that I can only recommend. They are very cheap, too! Small grocery shops and the laundry place are easily reachable in 5 minutes.

It is very quiet, but the neighbor's dogs can bark at night and you will definitely hear a lot of roosters ;)

Troncones is a quiet beach town. Still though, you can learn Spanish, take surf lessons, visit an iguana sanctuary, visit our caves,... Tell me what you're interested in, and I will try my best to give you suggestions!

We do have good wifi, but in raining season we sometimes experience power outs that usually lasts for a few minutes to an hour. Very rarely we have no power for a day because of a storm.
