  Description

  Hello, my name is Putra! I live in Bukit Lawang right next to a beautiful tropical rainforest, home to Sumatran orangutans and other interesting animals. I have grown up exploring the jungle, and have been a jungle trek tour guide for 23 years, now with a team of 12 cooks, guides and porters to help the treks run smoothly. I'm very passionate about conservation, sustainable tourism and sharing my knowledge of the jungle and all its wildlife.
  
  I am also a father of two (soon to be three) children, and a husband to my lovely wife Maya, who is a fantastic cook. Together we own a guesthouse right next to the serene Bohorok River.

  In exchange, you will stay with us at our guesthouse, enjoy the meals cooked by the greatest chef in Bukit Lawang (my wife) , immerse yourself in local culture and have the chance to explore the jungle and meet the wildlife. I would love to share with you everything I know about the jungle and why its special to us here in Bukit Lawang. This village is rich in culture for you to experience: outside our guesthouse you can play with the local children in the river - there are markets and live music each week - Indoneisan food to try - cooking and wood carving classes - if you're lucky I can take you to a traditional Indonesian wedding!

  I am looking for someone creative to help me reach more visitors for my jungle trekking tours through marketing and online outreach. Doing this, I can expand my team and provide further support for my local community, creating more jobs that ensure the protection of the rainforest and that are sustainable for the environment.
  
  I'm not very good with technology, so I am looking for someone who has experience with technology and marketing and help me in ways that you see fit, like making a new website, creating and growing social media accounts and teaching me how to use them - or any other ideas that you have!
