  Description

  We are 300 acre guest ranch with a authentic Western Saloon, log cabins, campground and a trail riding business in the Wells Gray Provincial Park. We take good care of 17 horses, a few Highland cattle, 30+ chickens, 2 dogs and 3 cats - animal lovers will have a blast! You will be a part of about 7 staff members, some of them are coming every year again... We speak English, German and French...

  You will meet lots of international guests from all ages and from all over the world, but also Canadians. You will make wonderful close friends and connections with both guests, staff and neighbours.
  If you are interested in horsemanship and are open for learning, we can teach you everything from hoof trimming, health care, saddle fitting to riding, training and more... You may also wish to take the opportunity to learn about forestry, animal care, hospitality, farming... wherever your interest is... .

  Aide

  We are currently only seeking for a “CHEF/RANCH HAND”, who can help out for 2 days in the kitchen and who does maintenance on the other 3 days. This is especially interesting for Chefs/or talented Cook, who would also like to do some other work at the ranch.
  The initial job duties are cooking during the 2 days when our main chef has his days off and maintenance, mowing lawn, fixing fencing, etc. on the other days.
  
  We are especially interested in those looking to work independently, who are skilled in multi-tasking, are self-motivated, flexible, clean and like to give 110% - if that's what it needs to get the job done. Applicants must be able to work legally in Canada and we would need a commitment till the End of September.
  We offer a wage, room & board, gratuity and the usual days off, executives who respects its team and a fun time!

  Please note that we only consider helpers who can stay the whole season (May to September) . Please do not apply if you are not able to stay the 5 months.
  
  We are kind of a big family and everybody helps everybody... A good team-spirit is a very important part of our Ranch. We have long working/presence hours, mainly due to our Saloon/restaurant. But you will get your free time whenever possible. Of course you always will have 2 days off /week.We are especially interested in those looking to work independently, who are skilled in multi-tasking, are self-motivated and fl exible and like to give 110% - if that's what it needs to get the job done.

  We offer free pick-up from the Kamloops airport (about 2 hours away). The Wells Gray Provincial Park offers tons of hiking trails, canoeing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and much more. We certainly can help you fulfill your dreams if you like to go into nature. Depending on the friendship you will get at the ranch, you may be able to travel with other helpers and their cars.

  FERDINAND

  FERDI is one of our house cats; shy but also a sweet heart. He is a very good hunter and brings you always some 'gifts'.

  

  MITZI

  MITZI is our old barn cat. She belongs to the ranch like the old barn. Mitzi has her own mind and is a good hunter. She loves to live in the barn.

  

  BARNY

  BARNY is one of 3 cats that came to the Ranch as stray cats. He is special in several aspects and always needy in love.

  

  SCOTCH

  Scotch is the most pictured animal at the ranch. He is - like Syra - 13 1/2 y old and his hinds do not let him move fast anymore. He has a very good minded and sweet nature.

  

  SYRA

  Syra is an 13 1/2y old dog that turned blind last year. She has a very sweet nature and is mostly sleeping.
