Help with childcare and cultural exchange in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

  Description

  My 5-year old daughter and I have lived in Mexico for 3 1/2 years. We are originally from the United States and LOVE it here. I own a branding and marketing agency and work from home, with clients across the USA. I am also a trained yoga therapist and have studied ancestral lineage repair and Easten medicine. Spiritual and indigenous practices like ritual and traditions are very important to us and we would love to share our world and wisdom with you.
  
  I am a solo mama and looking for someone who can help me balance my daily life in exchange for the cultural immersion. So, while we have a housekeeper and someone to cook once a week (and they are family to us!), I realize that I am still "doing it all" and juggling work, being mama, managing the household, and squeezing in any semblance of self-care within the few hours that my daughter is at school. So, having someone here that is more like part of our family day-to-day might be just what we need. This is new for me!
  
  So, someone to help me take care of my daughter, my dog and the household sometimes in the afternoons or some evenings or a hours on a weekend here and there and joining us for outings or when we travel, too, or caring for our dog when we travel, etc. would be amazing!!! We also want to explore more of Mexico and would love to have you join us.
  
  And if you are interested in gaining experience in marketing and branding or do admin assistant, graphic design or web development work, there may be an opportunity there as well.
  
  We live in San Miguel de Allende in the central highlands of Mexico. We are in a walkable neighborhood with cafés and restaurants nearby and a 25-30 minute walk to Centro/El Jardin or the bus stop is right outside our door. There is so much to do here and experience.

  We live in San Miguel de Allende in the central highlands of Mexico. We are in a walkable neighborhood with cafés and restaurants nearby and a 25-30 minute walk to Centro/El Jardin or the bus stop is right outside our door. There is so much to do here and experience.
  
  There is an oppprtunity to speak English daily with us or speak Spanish with my daughter, our nannies/cook/housekeeper and with others in daily life. I am also happy to include you in our family-centered ceremonial gatherings and share the culture of Mexico and indigenous wisdom we get to experience from our spiritual elders from an integrated bi-cultural perspective that we get to enjoy.
  
  Also, happy to help you gain experience in branding and digital marketing, too.

  You can practice Spanish with my daughter and our staff. Or practice English with us.

  Hébergement

  You would have your own room and bed and share a closet with my daughter. My daughter's room has 2 beds, but she sleeps with me (update: just 1 bed in there now, so it’s more spacious). My dog may want to sleep with you, so if you love dogs, that would be ideal. We will share 1 bathroom right now, but again, we may upgrade in the future. We have a big kitchen and dining room and can share meals and our common space. We also have a nice patio out back. Great WiFi is available as well as a TV in the room, etc.

  Must love and be comfortable with a big dog. My dog is 18 kilos (40-ish lbs) and about 15-16 years old. She's a lover, but has to warm up to you.If you have some sense of animal behavior, even better. I don’t travel often, but I would love for someone to stay with her if we do as I think she is scared by herself at her old age. I have had her since she was 2 years old.

  During the school year you will be able to work between 9 am and 2 pm unless you help with dropoff/pickup any days. We can totally work out how to arrange work and sharing in the exchange. I have an island and dining table to work at and great WiFi, plus there are cafés around.
