  Description

  We are Ophélie & Alexandre, two passionate makers and dreamers who started separate renovation projects in 2020 and ended up creating something beautiful together. Each of us restored an old barn and piece of land—one focused on digital making and community sharing, the other rooted in low-tech farming and eco-building for our own consumption.
  Today, we've joined our skills and energy in Chandi'Makers, a local association supported by farmers, artisans, and makers from the area.
  Saint-Gervais d’Auvergne, a peaceful off-grid farm surrounded by nature, still under eco-construction and only for our own consumption.
  We’re committed to community, self-sufficiency, creativity, and learning. We love what we do—and we’re happy to share it with others!

  Share your own skills or culture with us—we love to learn from our guests, too!

  Eco-renovation (natural building with hemp/lime, basic construction, carpentry, plumbing, etc.)
  Farming & low-tech living (milking goats, cheese making, gardening, baking, preserving food)
  Workshops & education (help during community events, support workshops in digital tools or simple electronics)
  Creative projects (building fun things like soapbox cars for village races!)
  Community life (cooking, cleaning shared spaces, preparing meals together)
  No experience required—just motivation, curiosity, and a willingness to get involved!

  You'll stay in a private room on either Ophélie's or Alexandre’s farm depending on dates.
  Kitchen and common spaces are shared, and we often cook and eat meals together using fresh, local ingredients.

  In your free time, you’ll be surrounded by beautiful countryside perfect for hiking, biking, and swimming
  In Saint-Gervais, you’ll enjoy the calm of nature—ideal for disconnecting and enjoying rivers, forests, and stargazing at night.
  We’re about 30 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, and we can help coordinate pick-ups from nearby train or bus stations anytime. Local buses and carpooling are also available.
  We aim to build a welcoming, meaningful experience—and we hope you’ll become part of our growing community.
