  Description

  I'm Somphone. I live in the katu village of Kok Phoung Tai in Bolovens Plateau next to Paksé. This is an ethnic village, located in the nature, with forest, waterfalls, rice and manioc fields, and coffee plantation.
  I offer for guests and tourists some accommodation, restauration, trekking tour, camping place. This activity allows me to help my community and contribute to the development of my village.
  
  In that way, I begin the project to propose some english class to children and adults in the village.
  
  I also have a big field with plantation so I need people to help me to work in the field and help us to build a new house.
  You can also come to work in my homestay, help with cleaning, play and share with my child and other people in the village. You could also help with cooking with my family.
  
  We are a welcoming family accustomed to receiving workers in our guesthouse. With us you will be totally immersed in Laos life !
  
  We need a lot of help so you can join if you are serious and wants to really help us. We have 2 rooms available so we can accept 4 peoples. You will help for 5 days (with happiness) and 2 days off when you could enjoy activities and nature.

  You will stay at my home, and share the life of my lovely family, my wife Dak, my three children, Keng, Kaison and Keoja. You can discover the way of life of a katu village, food, artisanal objects. You can learn lao / katu language, traditionnal cooking, coffee roasting.
  You can discover the nature, go hiking in the forest, do a tractor tour and see waterfalls.

  Aide

  I'm looking for volunteers to teach english to the children of the village of Kok Phoung Tai.
  The English courses take place everyday after school, at 4:30 pm for about an hour. And will be extra class after diner for adults of my village (1h also).
  
  As I receive tourists in my homestay, offer them to make visits of the village, trekking tours, other activities, the rest of the time, you would help to welcome them to make them enjoying their stay in my place.
  You would also help on improving my offer, by creating some communication supports (tours activities, Facebook page....), by making jam, suggesting activities or improving the place... depend on the skill you can share with me.
  
  Minimum stay 1 week, more would be even better.
  English native people appreciate or a basic level in speaking english skills.

  I speak english, a little bit of french and Lao. I would to share and speak in an other language with people and learn other language too !

  Hébergement

  You will stay in one room, with 2 singles bed (you might share your room with other volunteers and in case of my homestay is full, might be sleeping in a tent), bathroom in the garden, a hamac, and you will share the meals with my family (sticky rice, vegetables, meat...),
  A terrasse, with table, used by the guests and tourist can be a good place to relax.

  Autres infos...

  There is a lot to do in the area. A lot of hiking activities in the nature, some waterfalls to see, coffee plantation and green farm to visit. I can bring you around if you want to discover the area with me. In that case any help for paying gas would be great !
  A bus from Pakse to Salavan can bring you to my village until Tad Lo. Or you can go by motorbike from Paksé.
  To be able to go wherever you want, a motorbike is the best.
