Wir haben 4 Wochen bei Dagmar und Fred verbracht und dafür möchten wir uns ganz herzlich bedanken.
Es war eine unvergessliche Zeit, die uns nicht nur viel über einen Selbstversorgerhof gelehrt hat, sondern uns auch auf neue Ideen gebracht hat.
Wir haben es sehr geschätzt, dass die beiden uns direkt herzlich in ihre Familie aufgenommen haben und
… read more alles dafür getan haben, dass es uns gut geht.
Die Aufgaben, welche wir bekommen haben, waren immer sehr einfach umzusetzen. Morgens und abends haben wir uns um die Tiere gekümmert und sonst bei den alltäglichen „kleinen“ Aufgaben geholfen.
Neben den täglichen Aufgaben hatten wir auch viel Zeit uns die wunderschöne Umgebung anzuschauen.
Außerdem haben Dagmar und Fred auch sehr viel mit uns unternommen…sei es in die Stadt fahren, auf Weihnachtsmärkte gehen, ihre Freunde kennenlernen, jeden Abend Karten spielen … dafür sind wir sehr sehr dankbar.
Dagmar und Fred sind sehr inspirierende, liebevolle und witzige Personen, mit denen man ernste, aber auch lustige Gespräche führen kann.
Man kann von ihnen vieles lernen und jeder sollte sich eine Scheibe von ihnen abschneiden.
Wir werden immer wieder gerne an diese Zeit zurückdenken und hoffen, dass sich unsere Wege irgendwann wieder kreuzen.

… read more Ziegen und Hühner zu füttern hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht, aber auch euch einfach bei euren Bau- und Gartenprojekten zu unterstützen hat mich sehr gefreut. Ich hoffe ich konnte euch ein wenig unter die Arme greifen. Es war sehr achön, auch die Zeit zuhaben um eure Umgebung zu entdecken oder am Meer zu entspannen. Ich wünsche euch viel Erfolg und weiterhin viele Helfer, die euch unterstützen eure Träume zu verwirklichen.

Ich war 4 Wochen bei euch und wurde von Anfang an sehr nett willkommen geheißen. Meine Aufagen waren hauptsächlich die Tiere zu versorgen, was teilweise schon sehr verrückt war, da der Ziegenbock andere Pläne mit mir hatte. I was lucky to stay at Dagmar's place for three weeks and those three weeks really gave me so much! From the very first message she sent me to our last goodbye I felt so welcomed and needed.
I drove there by car and since the weather wasn't that good she made sure to help me through this with helpful links and tricks and information about closed

The second I met her, Fred and Tim I already felt like a part of their family. Thank you for that!
I helped them with taking care of the animals, the garden, the old house and the new house 😁
I learned so much about self-sufficiency, gardening and nutrition, I will definitely use this knowledge when I'm back home.
They made sure that it wasn't too much work for me and I was just happy to help them.
I can highly recommend a stay at their farm and really hope to see you again!

We spend 6 weeks at Fred's, Dagmars and Tim's farm.
They handle us like a family member from the first moment. They are very funny, nice and hard working guys. It's very impressive, how hard they handle to follow there dreams.
Our main tasks were to feed and take care of the goats and chicken twice a day and go for a walk with the lovely dog in
… read more the morning. We had a lof of freedom in doing another tasks and is was very interesting and funny to do them. For example we build houses for birds and for goats, cutting trees, chopping wood, sometimes cooking, repair and build fences and so on.
We learned a lot about self-sufficient and organic farming. They answered all our questions very patience.
In our freetime we were climbing with them, fishing, shopping and in the evenings we often played cards or wachted a movie together.
They gives us all the time the feeling, that we are welcomed and they take care of us all the time. The food was everyday very delicious and fresh. We hope, we can reasonable cook it like you ;)
We really can recommend to go to them.

Olli & Pia stayed with us for 6 weeks. The time together was wonderful. Both treated our animals very lovingly and were really great help to us. You can realy on both of them. My room at the fram was very comfortable, during my stay the family provided me with everything that I could ask for (soap, towles, additional blankets, ...etc.)

I arrived in September and stayed for nearly 2 months.
The moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and as a part of the family. I immediately fell in love with the little farm and its surrounding. There are lots of wonderful possibilities to go on a hike or for a run!

Autumm is the time for harvesting, so Dagmar and I picked up a lot of fruits and also processed and conserved them.
I really enjoyed the time at your little farm, the evenings when we played cards or watched "The Voice", the funny time I spend with Tim, the nice conversations and discussions, and the always delicious meals :) !

Well, when I arrived to the lovely home of Dagmar, Fred and Tim I felt like home of from the beginning. I was there for helping a bit everywhere. I got a lot of new experience about permaculture, the norwegian People, a bit carpentering and the life of my hosts. I could enjoy the animals, the nature, the Fjords and fishing. - It was such a perfect place to be with wonderful people around me. They tought me in so many things about norway. Good and not so good things for sure. So, when you are willin to take a almost long way thru a wonderful nature way to that family and their place, you will have a really good experience as myself had there!

I had my first workaway experience here, and it was great. They are answering verry quickly. I loved the good food and to play and to discuss with the Family. There are a lot of books(in german) about Permaculture, if someone is interestet. I will definitly come back someday!

Ivan is a very nice young man. At the beginning a little shy and reserved. But after a few days it was very good. He is very accommodating and helpful. Ivan took care of our animals, took long walks with our dog. He has collected a lot of wood from our forest garden to complete the natural fence. He did a lot of different work and was a big help

he is a trained cook. There were many delicious dishes from his homeland and we were very happy with so much good food. We will miss the delicious dumplings!
And one thing should be said: As fast as you can cut vegetables! unbelievable!

This was my first workaway experience and I would definitely do it again!
I came to Rogerland in winter and as aspected Norway is could and rainy. But I was heartily welcome by the family and so the bad weather was quick forgotten. And during the three weeks we had some really nice pre-sping days, perfect for hikes and garden work.

Tobias stayed with us for about four weeks, helping us not only to care for our animals but also to renovate our old house.

In his free time, he spent a lot of time with our dog and took walks in the area - and he even tried to bathe in the fjord O Brrr! :slight_smile:
Also he spent a lot of time with our son, he played Lego, they went on tour together and had a good time. He is now the big brother of our son!
Tobias was just great. He is a very nice young man always willing and helpful and we will miss him. During his stay he was a part of our family and will always be there.
