We had Valeria stay with us for almost 4 weeks. She was a lovley person to have around and in just some days she felt like she was a family member. Workwise she was happy to do all different task that we had ongoing. Helping out with gathering wood for the winter (sawing and splitting) digging up some ned land for growing wegetables. She was a

I love Helena and Erick and I had one the best WorkAway experiences ever.
I stayed with them in their beautiful cottage for a month. A really nice place with a 360 panorama view to Jamtland mountains and surrounded by forest and paths. Where you can also appreciated the wild life as maybe some dear or fox will visit.

… read more wood for winter time and I learnt how to use the chainsaw. I help Helena with the gardening, digging and planting the first seeds of the season. And we also build a big green house. We have a lovely schedule with breaks full of good healthy food and coffee. Yoga and meditation in the morning was also part of our routine.

We had lots of help from Petri: collecting firewood, chainsawing, woodcutting. He was very interested in helping out with all kind of tasks. No work was to heavy. He also helped painting a small cottage outside and inside. He was able to make own decisions when necessary. We also learned a lot of his knowledge about eatable wild plants. We

I had really nice time in Eric and Helena's place.
It was nice to work with Eric and not alone. We made some firewood work and I finally learned to use chainsaw. We didn't work so much (less than 5 hours) and I had lots of time to relax.
And the cottage is perfect for that! View is amazing, can see many mountains around and the cottage is on the
… read more top of mountain. The cottage is comfortable, can even take bath outside and enjoy the mountain view same time.
They cooked delicious and healthy food too. Most of ingredients was from own garden or from own chickens, at least near as possible.

First of all we’re sorry for writing so late. We’ve spent wonderful 10 days with Erik and Helena. Since it was our first ever workaway experience we had been a bit unsure at first about what should we expect but Erik and Helena made this experience to be such a magnificent and unforgettable moment. The work wasn’t hard we painted a small house and
… read more did a bit of gardening and chopped some wood and one day we went up to the mountains to look for some berries. Erik is such a great cook so we’ve always had a delicious meal.After we’ve finished the work each day we had always a delicious lunch after which we had plenty of time to explore the surrounding area. They even allowed us to use their old car and pay for the gas with some extra work. Thanks to that we got to see the beautiful lakes and even the mountains nearby. We couldn’t have chosen better hosts for our first workaway.

Anna and Filip stayed with us for 10 days and it was a pleasure to host them. They where eager to help out with the tasks we had for them to do. They did a great job painting a house. They work good as a team and we can gladly recommend them for further jobs. Good luck to you both!
