  Description

  We live in Laim, in the west of beautiful Munic in Bavaria.
  
  We are a family with four children. Our oldest son is 17 and is training to be a motor mechanic. Our 15-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son attend school and have French as their second language. The workawayer will be expected to go on excursions, cook, or play games with them in the afternoons, evenings, and perhaps on weekends, so they can practice speaking French. Our youngest son is in first grade and also loves to play games like Uno, Monopoly, and chess.
  
  What can you do in Laim, or in Munich in general? There's the small Rex cinema just 50 meters away. There's also a Bavarian beer garden called "Laimers" across the street. There's a swimming pool with an outdoor pool, "Westbad," just 1.5 km away. Just 800 meters away, there's an ice rink for ice skating in the winter. Laim also has a sports club, where we're members and where workawayers can take courses to get some exercise. There's also an adult education center, where various language courses are offered. The Isar River is about 7.5 km away, and we like to go there for a bike trail in our free time. There's also a jump park just 1.5 km away, which our 12-year-old son enjoys.
  
  Of course, Munich also has several theaters, such as the Gärtnerplatz Theater, which we'd love to invite the workawayer to. And of course, there are the beautiful lakes in the surrounding area, like Lake Starnberg. We like to go swimming there in the summer.

  We warmly welcome you to our family! You can learn German with us through shared meals, chores, excursions, or even a course at the adult education center. There are some lovely beer gardens and restaurants, like the Hofbräuhaus in Munich, that we'd love to show you. We could also go to the Deutsches Theater, Gärtnerplatz Theater, or visit the Isar River together. We also enjoy organizing bike tours, which the workawayer can join. A bike is available for excursions. Workawayers interested in bicycles, mountain biking, and repairs are especially welcome!
  
  We would also be very happy to welcome workawayers who want to try new dishes and cook together with us.

  Hébergement

  We have several beds available in our house. We live in Laim with direct tram access. We don't cook vegetarian food and would be happy to try new dishes.
  
  We have breakfast and dinner together. We provide a hot or cold meal at lunch. In the evenings, we usually cook and eat hot meals. We don't eat vegan or vegetarian food. However, we can cook in a way that allows vegetarian meals. We have a small garden where we can harvest various vegetables in the summer. There are also apple trees and a plum tree. We have blackberry and raspberry bushes in the garden, which everyone is welcome to eat.

  Munich offers a wide range of leisure activities. We're happy to help you find the right one. In winter, you can go skiing with us in the Alps. Trams, subways, and buses are all nearby.
