Help to complete our to-do-list and stay with an offgrid family in Midi Pyrenees, France

  Description

  We are a German family living in the French Pyrenees (Ariège): Eva (45), Volker(47), Toni (12), Peppi (9), Mavi (6) and our dog Tjappo. We are on land in the middle of the forest in the mountains, 900 meters above sea level. We have 2 wooden cabins, one needs renovation! The place is magical, with a splendid view of the mountain, accessible only on foot. Our luxury is spring water, silence and a fabulous sky full of stars.
  
  We have a 3-page to-do-list with tasks on the terrain. Loads of smaller and bigger task that will take a couple of days if we are many and months if we are alone. That's why we would like to invite you for a mini help-camp, so we might finish before christmas.
  
  The tasks are about making fire-wood, renovation, clearing spaces, gardening, etc.

  Nous sommes une famille allemande qui habite dans les Pyrénées Françaises (Ariège): Eva (45), Volker(47), Toni (12), Peppi (9), Mavi (6) et notre chien Tjappo. Nous sommes sur un terrain au milieu du foret dans la montagne, sur 900 mètres d'altitude. Nous avons 2 cabanes en bois, une a besoin de renovation! L’endroit est magique, avec une vue splendide sur la montagne, accessible seulement à pied. Notre luxe, c’est l’eau de source, la silence et un fabuleuse ciel pleine d’étoiles.
  
  On a tellement beaucoup de chantiers, plusieurs taches qui prennent chaqune quelques jours quand nous sommes nombreuses et des mois si nous sommes seules. Donc on aimerais bien vous inviter à un petit work-camp de dernier minute pour finir avant noël.
  
  Il s'agit des traveaux de bois de chauffage, renovation, rangement, jardinage, etc.

  You can learn to survive among three loud children in the middle of nature, exposed to the powers of nature. We are still learning it ourselves. We start to get a glimps of what "down to earth" means. This is a great gift and an enormous challenge. We have no infrastructure except the one we created and create (with you). We welcome you to participate in this adventure. When you come here, you will share it anyway :-)

  Aide

  It's a lot of tasks with wood: Chopping and stocking logs, creating spaces for stocking... Digging, renovation, clearing, gardening. You should be up for doing physical tasks, if you have renovation skills, we will certainly use them!
  
  If you want to cook, it's very appreciated! Also if it makes you happy to help in the field, there are always maintenance tasks. We ask for a little help around meals.

  Beaucoup de traveaux autour du bois de chauffage: Fendre, stocker des buches, créer des endroit pour stockage... Creuser, renover, ranger, jardiner. Tu dois être preparé au travail physique. Si tu as des capacités de bricolage, on va certainement en profiter!
  
  Si tu as envie de cuisinier, c'est très appréciée! Aussi si ca te fait plaisir de travailler sur le terrain, il y a toujours des tâches de maintenance. On demande un peu d'aide autour des repas.

  Hébergement

  There are two possibilities: You can sleep in the mezzanine of a small wooden hut, with a large panorama window towards the valley. It's on our land, and you'll be very close to us.
  
  If you prefer a little more autonomy, you can also choose our truck. It is parked at the side of the road, 3 minutes walk through the woods. There you would have a big bed, a stove, a small kitchen of your own.

  Il y a deux possibilités: Tu peux ou dormir dans la mezzanine d'une petite cabane en bois, avec une grande fenetre panorama vers la vallée. C'est sur notre terrain, et tu sera très proche de nous.
  
  Si tu prefères un peu plus d'autonomie, tu peux aussi choisir notre camion. Il est garé au bord de la route, 3 minutes à pied au travers les bois. La tu aurais un grand lit, un poêle, une petite cuisine à toi.

  Autres infos...

  We are not accessible by public transport. On your arrival we pick you up in Saint Girons. If you want to move around in your free time, we can take you to some spots, or you can hitchhike, this works quite well here, everybody does it. And hiking trails are starting right on our doorstep. The landscape is breathtaking.
  
  We don't consider ourselves providing an infrastructure, but sharing it with you. So we want to share the responsability to maintain it as well.
  
  We suggest to consider the first 3 days as a trial-period to find out if it works for you and us. If it’s a fit, longterm stays are welcome. If it's a really good fit, you can move in with us ;-)
