Description
We live in a small rural Spanish village in the mountains in the Maestrazgo region, popular with walkers and climbers. Population of less than 600. We are a retired English couple. Have helped students with their English. We have lived here for about 24 years, we speak English from the north of England also a good level of Spanish we are an open minded couple and enjoy being around younger people.

We live in a rural setting but close to the village.
This area is perfect for walkers, hikers and cyclists.
Maestrazgo region has historical monuments. The village is 26 kms from the beach at Peniscola. Our village is a rural agricultural area with olive groves and almond trees. Opportunity to live in a typical Spanish village close to San Mateo, the former capital of this region.
Morella is nearby one of the best preserved walled cities in Europe.
Peniscola which is 26 kms away has a fantastic beach and the castle which was the former home of Papa Luna.
Many traditional fiestas and cultural music concerts are held in this region.
Aide
Keeping the garden under control which may include cutting branches, rotovating. Care of the dogs and to take for a daily walk. General help with maintenance of the house and surroundings.
Occasionally may need help in our home.

2 bedroomed detached log cabin (furnished), separate shower room, small kitchen, washing machine, terrace, bbq facility. Only accommodation provided. Food cooked and provided by yourselves. We expect help for 15 hours a week and a complete month's stay (1st - 31st). Non-smokers are our preference as we are non-smokers.

Thomas & Mathllde are a very pleasant couple, Despite communication hiccups and very hot weather, they carried out any task well, maintaining and watering the garden. The dogs were looked after very well.

Susana and Dev were very pleasant, quiet and helpful.
The dogs went on long walks every day and were well looked after, cleaning the kennels, feeding and Dev even gave them haircuts. Susana and Dev worked methodically clearing, weeding and sorting out the vegetable plot and gardens.
They proved to be good Workaways.

Our experience has been excellent. We have had our space in a comfortable wooden house. We have been able to organize our routines according to the tasks asked for. We have worked in the garden and taking care of the dogs, who are affectionate. Christine and Tony are good hosts.

Sam was very helpful with many 'tasks' and being with us was an experience for him. Sam was at his happiest with the dogs who loved all the attention and walks.
