Description
Hi, my name is Amy. I am a British citizen schooled in South Africa with English as my home language. I'm on a break from studying and would like to explore and meet new people. I am keen to expand my mind and make meaningful connections.
I’m not entirely sure how to describe myself. Generally soft spoken and love a good laugh, I've been told I have a calming presence. I am not an athlete but I enjoy yoga, pilates, swimming, sailing, hiking, camping and cycling. Now that I have a bit of mental space from Uni I'm keen to start reading again and be introduced to new books and skills. I greatly enjoy all things creative and artsy.
I've had experience as the only family member not afraid of heights and am therefore quite comfortable up a ladder or doing window renovations, I’ve been involved with a nature conservation group since I was ten, assisted at a local NGO crèche, designed and painted (with my fellow art buddies) the child support room at Shotong Clinic and helped at the SPCA many times.
This is my first time using the workaway platform and I am keen to engage

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I enjoy DIY, art projects, interior decorating, and as a result have had a lot of fun with jigsaws, paintbrushes, and other typical handy tools. I am interested in learning about sustainable buildings as well as unconventional methods.
I'm a beginner sewist and have managed to make a couple of wearable items :)
I love pets and have done pet sitting for family members with both cats and dogs.
Baking is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine, and I like to think I'm not too bad at savoury food either
I can drive manual and automatic and have a bit of experience with 4x4ing
Lastly I am keen to learn any new skills :)
