Description
How's it going!
I'm Andy, 30,from the UK and 2 years into my around the world journey.
This journey is led by exploring how humans are interacting with the ecosystems we're part of and how we can integrate in mutually beneficial ways.
This expedition has so far led given me the opportunity to spend a year time on 2 organic, no-dig, regenerative farms - one with a with farm to table restaurant, a season as a weather wizard making snow at a alpine resort and a 2 seasons planting trees.
I love being outside, using my hands, learning new skills, and exploring alternative approaches.
Areas I am particularly looking to develop my knowledge in include:-
• Sustainable food production and harvesting. (Veg/Livestock/Apiary)
•Sustainable forestry/Agroforestry.
• Homesteading/ Off-grid living - preparing firewood, preserving food, sustainable energy and other skills relating to self-sufficiency.
• Wild harvesting food and natural resources.
• Building and crafting with natural materials.
• Horse care, riding and training.
•And sailing, I really want to learn to sail!
I'm looking to immerse myself in authentic, cultural experiences, meet new people and discover new things. A good conversation and hearing new philosophies and ideas, particularly around food, nature and our connection with then. Always looking to learn, I believe everything is a learning opportunity and everyone has something to teach. Including myself and am more than willing to share what I know.
What I have to offer:-
• Organic veg growing/harvesting experience
• Some livestock handling (sheep, goats, chickens, cows, pigs)
• Basic woodwork carpentry skills
• Tree planting
• Basic handyman skills
• Cooking and baking
• Photography/Videography
• English skills
• Hard worker

My main language focus currently is developing my limited knowledge of French. This is a new journey and am still getting to grasps with the basics. I have some knowledge of basic Spanish and would be interested in practicing and developing my basic conversation fluency. I am also interested in developing my very limited knowledge of German and open to beginning my journey with other languages. I'd be happy to share my knowledge of English and have some experience teaching at a basic level. I also have experience sharing English at language immersion camps.Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

Super interesting to see how they’re utilising their livestock, rotational grazing patterns and cover crops to restore soil health and produce incredible food. Their passion is inspiring and it was exciting to hear and see how their practices are changing the land and their ideas… read more
