What motivates me are mostly people and animals, as well as learning and opportunities for new experiences. I'm a (energetic, happy-go-lucky) Neuroscience/Psychology student (University of Amsterdam), so people and hearing new stories and perspectives from those people is extremely interesting to me and brings me a lot of joy. Next to being social, I love learning about the human brain and psyche, which (gaining knowledge about these subjects) is in itself very rewarding to me. I have a personal goals of learning as much about the human brain and behavior as I'm able to. I learn not only through school, but also about personal interests through books and podcasts. I also have a great love for animals (before my current studies I wanted to become a veterenarian), that I carry with me since childhood. Interaction with animals never fails to bring me up, however I'm feeling. My free time I mostly spend creating art (visual: drawing and painting mostly). To me, it's the perfect creative outlet to relax and refocus after a long day.
For a very long time, I've been working odd jobs in the Netherlands through my freelancer acount. Now that my school schedule has quieted down a bit, I want to work the free weeks I have in foreign countries. I like exploring new areas and (again) meeting new people. I'm very interested in other cultures and I think working in other countries will also allow me to see sides of a country a classic vacation would not. I love experiencing new things, and have loved that in my years of working odd jobs. Now I'm looking for what and who else is out there!Centres d’intérêt

I am slowly learning Turkish and would love to learn more if the opportunity presents itself to do that. My interest in Turkish is because my mom is from Türkiye, so I have a small base of Turkish, but would like to build up towards a fluent speaker in my lifetime.Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I've had a wide variety of jobs since I was 15. I started in the supermarket filling shelves and sitting behind the cash register. Here I learned working with people and doing physical work from a very young age. After this I started working (at age 17) at a mediating company. This was an office job that allowed me to have contact with government officials, partners of the company and business customers. It also introduced me to the ins-and-outs of office life and created a larger sense of responsibility for me. At 19 I started working at a delivery service, allowing me more freedom in my gap year. That job mostly challenged my physical endurance, working long hours in (unpredictable) Dutch weather. The collegues at Takeaway are from all over the world (the job doesn't require a grasp on the Dutch language), which meant I was able to meet people from all around the globe. These three first jobs mostly set me up to be able to work with a wide variety of people, customers and collegues. It strengthened my communitative skills tremendously, which I have taken with me with every subsequent job and academic endeavor.
When I started university (age 21) I opted to start a freelancing company (consisting of just me) to keep my freedom within work and accept some additional administrative responsibilities in keeping up with the account. I now do (and have done) a host of different odd jobs at different companies, from bartender to lifeguard, and waiting tables to preparing orders in the kitchen. This has forced me to become very flexible, not only in practical domains like travelling to different locations at different times, but also within my job as every job requires different work from me, and at every job I am perceived differently by the people around me.
Other skills I have are school related. I am working on my Neuroscience/Psychology bachelor's degree, so I have knowledge about research and psychological disorders and care.Âge

Autres infos...
One of the things I pride myself most on is my openness. I consider myself very open to new people and stories, but certainly also new experiences (down-for-anything mindset according to my friends). I'm almost always willing to see, do or experience something new (or old, for that matter).
