Hello! My name is Caroline and I am a 23 year old solo traveller looking to explore while studying for law school. I started using Workaway after a family vacation to visit my little brother who is studying in New Zealand. I cancelled my ticket home and have been traveling meeting the loveliest people since February.

I love the outdoors -- hiking, biking, running, skiing -- and am excited to explore a part of the world that is new to me. I took my first surfing lesson while in New Zealand and am hoping to continue practicing! I am happiest near nature, with good conversation, and a cup of coffee in the morning.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Child Care:
I am an older sister, love kids, and babysat through college. I went to a Waldorf school through middle school which gave me an appreciation for the outdoors and creative play. I am happy to play sports outside (I ran competitively and played tennis in high school) or find creative things to do inside! I am also happy to help with homework. I recently graduated from university in Washington D.C. and should be able to help with most subjects! I also have my Wilderness First Responder Medical certification (a step below EMT if you're familiar) so I'm CPR and BLS certified.

At home:
I love to organize! If you need closets, cabinets, garages, etc., organized I am your girl! I am a very clean person, so whether it is just through sharing communal spaces or bigger cleaning projects I am happy to help. I love to cook, so preparing meals or helping to prep meals is a way I love to contribute at home. I've studied in Jordan and India, and love to make dishes I learned abroad. I grew up with dogs and chickens and am more than happy to take care of your animals. Outside I can garden, mow the lawn, or use a thrasher ( I did a lot of thrashing at my last Workaway and really enjoyed that!). I'm always happy to learn new skills and I will always do my best and do it with a smile.

Hospitality:
I've worked at remote wilderness lodges both front serving and at the bar and back of house helping with cleaning and food prep. I really enjoy the social aspect of hospitality work so love chatting to people and getting travel recommendations.

I've been so lucky to meet the loveliest people through Workaway and it's quickly become a favorite part of my travels. In my free time I'll be studying for the LSAT, reading, and exploring! I'm new to WorkAway so please forgive anything I've forgotten in the profile!
