Hello Workaway crew! I am a 30 yr old from Australia. Arriving here hoping to help people by achieving a stage or completing a project using my skills. Finding community spirit, group enthusiasm and learning new skills along the way.
I have been immensely lucky with help on various projects of my own in the past and I try pay this forward at every opportunity.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I completed an apprenticeship in welding and metal fabrication 7 years ago. In the time since I have undertaken and completed a number of courses and workshops for different skills and interests of mine. I am experienced with all types of welding and metal fabrication on stainless steel, steel and aluminum.
I have previously been involved with marine, industrial, mining and residential projects.
In addition to my welding and fabrication skillset, I have a keen interest for the island and underwater world. I am hoping to contribute to these incredible environments by becoming involved with island and reef conservation programs when time permits. From 19 years of age I have been a regular scuba diver, participating in dives at any opportunity presented. I completed a PADI divemaster internship 2020 and began working as a divemaster at this time. Obtaining my Coxswains ticket in 2024 has allowed me to operate a commercial boat up to 12m length with passengers.
Between November 2022 and November 2023, I spent 12 months in Antarctica. Living and working at an Australian research station. I was required to help the plumbers, mechanics, builders and Chefs on a daily basis. Observing, assisting and learning from these professions was an invaluable experience.
A strong mindset for community and contribution was essential to live with 28 others in close quarters and complete isolation for 12 months.
During this time I was also responsible for maintaining a hydroponics system growing produce to supplement frozen food. Cherry tomatoes, chillis, lettuce, cucumbers, kale, spinach and a variety of herbs were produced from the hydroponics rooms.
I am hoping to learn many more skills from Workaway hosts and fellow Workawayers. Lessons in welding and metal fabrication can also be arranged, enabling a diverse and broad range of projects. From metal garden art to shacks, greenhouses, sheds, vehicle maintenance, boat maintenance, the list is endless!

I am a keen outdoors person and will jump at opportunities to try anything adventurous.
I would like to also continue SCUBA diving in most locations I travel to.
