Hi, my name is Doris. I live in Switzerland and love being active in nature, snowboarding in winter, but also cosy hours with friends or a good book. Spending time with my family is very important to me (I have two brothers, two sisters and 7 nieces and nephwes). Travelling, getting to know different countries, cultures, flora and fauna and people has always inspired me. I am delighted to have two months available for travelling again and have found Workaway. I am curious to see where my journey will take me - I would like to get to know Central or South America and learn Spanish and: learn more about the world and about myself. I grew up on a farm, enjoy working outside with animals and plants and I also have experiences as an accountant (current job), hotel receptionist, restaurant service and bartending. By getting away from my everyday life, I hope to gain new perspectives, connect more with nature and with myself and fulfil a meaningful task at the same time.

I learnt to work with my hands at home, had an education in administration and then joined the hospitality industry (bar and restaurant) via hotel reception. Thanks to my different stations, I have gained a range of experience in working with people, be organized, tidy, independent and keeping a cool head even in stressful situations.
